This article will guide you through troubleshooting the ClubReady Desktop Application.
Troubleshooting the Desktop App
1.) Go to their computer and search for the
Desktop App, to ensure that it has been downloaded.
2.) Go to their hidden icons to see if the ClubReady symbol appears. If it shows, this is an indication that the app is running.
3.) Open the
Desktop App within the hidden icons window, click on the icon to ensure that it is
Open.
4.) From here, it will ask you to Sign in. The client may login, or you can using the universal login:
Username: tele
Password: test
DO NOT GIVE THIS TO THE CLIENT TO USE
When trying to open the Desktop App and the ClubReady icon does not show in the right-hand corner of the screen
1.) Search for the
Desktop App on the computer and right click on the app. Then choose to
Run as administrator.
2.) If it does not open and says that it is already running, then you will need to go to the task bar at the bottom of the screen > right click on it > choose to go to
Task manager > go to
more details > choose to end the two ClubReady programs that are running. Then try to open the
Desktop App again and
Run as administrator.
3.) If it does not pull up again after a few seconds, then kill the tasks one more time and choose to uninstall the
Desktop App. To accomplish this, you can navigate to the ClubReady website >
Setup > General > ClubReady Desktop App > click the
download link to setup. From here, choose to
Remove the
Desktop App. 4.)
Before removing the
Desktop App, unplug the scanner from the PC.
5.) While the
Desktop App is uninstalling, you will need to remove three files. Therefore, you will want to open the manila folder on your taskbar >
go to this PC > OS (c:)
6.) Go to
Program Files (x86) and right click the
ClubReady Folder in order to delete it.
7.) Go back to the
OS (C:) folder > Users > select the proper user (to determine which user to select, go to the windows icon in the bottom left hand corner of the screen and hover over the user at the top)
8.) Type in
\appdata > go to Local > select
ClubReady and choose to
Delete.
9.) Navigate back to
appdata and go to
Roaming.
10.) Finish the removal of the
Desktop App and then go back to the
Roaming File > select
ClubReady > choose to
Delete.
11.) Navigate back to
Setup > General > ClubReady Desktop App > click the link to
Download the app and then choose to Install.
12.) Once it has been installed, you will then want to plug the scanner back into the PC. Next, try to bring up the
Desktop App by searching in the computer's files and right clicking on the
Desktop App to
Run as administrator.
NOTE: It should match how it is listed within the control panel
13.) Go to the
Check-in tab >
Settings, and make sure that the proper
Activation Key is entered (you can find the
Activation Key by navigating to
Setup > General > ClubReady Desktop App). You will want to make sure that the
com port is set to the scanner as well.
14.) If the scanner is not showing as a
com port, you will want to go to the
Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers. From here, see if it is listed in the unspecified section.
