Sales Package Types: Membership / Add-on / Services

Sales packages at membership clubs can be categorized as Membership, Membership Add-On or Services. PT Studios have only Service package types.

This can be selected when creating a new package, or it can be edited after the package is created.

Membership - Only this type will impact the membership status (expiration date) when sold.  This is key because the membership expiration date is the sole factor in determining if somebody is an active member.

Add-On - This does not impact membership expiration dates. This can be used for club additional features such as Childcare, Cross-Club Access, etc. These would be items that do not fall under club Services (Services allow you credit control for services you provide to your clients), but would be related to the membership in some way as an additional option. An Add-On can be setup to draft the customer without interfering with their main membership. They can be set as an auto renew package which will continue until it is cancelled. 

Services - For Membership Clubs this does not impact membership expiration dates but it does impact customer status for PT Studios. These type of packages would be used to provide services to the customer such as Personal Training. 


Accessing Package Setup And Setting The Package Type






Go to Setup > Sales > Sales Packages in order to begin adding your new package. Locate the folder group and to the right of the sub-folder name click Add A New Sales Package. To learn more about creating these folder groups and sub folders you may review the article on Sales Package Folders.



 

Editing The Package Type






To edit after a package is created - select the package and adjust from package Settings tab.
