This article will guide you through staff using bar code for logging hours through time clock using the check in kiosk.

 

Requirements:

• Web kiosk setup with the correct scanner.
• All employees need to have a bar code assigned, click here.

 Notes

• If you are using the web kiosk for time clock you will need to make sure the screen is the active window and it is prompting for you to scan a bar code.

Step 1 - Employee Clock-in

 Once a staff member scans their card, the time clock window will appear. The employee name, id and staff type will appear at the top of the screen.  You can see that Felicity is currently clocked out.

IN/ OUT - Since Felicity is currently clocked out, the clock IN button is highlighted.  Click the clock IN button.The employee's status will appear at the bottom of the screen. 
Worked Today - This will detail the amount of time worked so far for the day. Also, if the employee has a maximum number of work hours allotted in the setup of their staff type, the amount of time remaining will display. 
Worked This Week - This will detail the amount of time worked so far for the week. Also, if the employee has a maximum number of work hours allotted in the setup of their staff type, the amount of time remaining will display.

Step 2 - Employee Clock-out

 

Once a staff member scans their card, the time clock window will appear. The employee name, id and staff type will appear at the top of the screen.  You can see that Felicity is currently clocked in.

IN/ OUT - Since Felicity is currently clocked in, the clock OUT button is highlighted.  Click the clock OUT button.The employee's status will appear at the bottom of the screen.
