This article and video will guide you on creating an announcement and where staff and clients can view announcements. An announcement is a pop up notification when either staff or clients log into ClubReady. Requirements - A Master Admin login or a staff type with the following permissions:
- Club Setup: Can access setup
- Club Setup: Can access announcements setup
Creating And Viewing Announcements
1. Accessing Announcements Setup
Navigate to;
Setup > Communication > Announcements > Add A New Announcement.
2. Creating An Announcement


The options when creating an announcement include:
Announcement Title - Enter the title for your
announcement, this will be what the client or staff member will see when they
log in.
Shows To Who - Select whether you want this
announcement will be sent to Customers or Staff Members. An announcement to customers will go to all
customers. You can target all staff or
specific staff types by the check boxes that appear when staff is selected.
Always Show Announcement - If selected, the announcement will display for your customer or staff after every login until the end date or no display conditions are met.
Start Date - Enter the date you wish the announcement to start appearing. Leaving this field blank will cause the announcement to appear to staff or customers immediately.
End Date - Type in an end date for your announcement to quit appearing to staff or customers.
Include a Poll - Select whether you want to poll your clients or staff. If you click Yes the yellow box will appear where you can enter 4 choices.
The Announcement - Type in the actual announcement content. This section works like a basic work processor.
Include Acknowledgement Text/Checkbox - Check the acknowledgment box if you want to force staff to read (not just close) an announcement and confirm they have read it.
Display in Past Announcements Page - Select what archive settings you want for this announcement.
Verify all
information is correct and click the
Add The Announcement.
3. Verify Active, Future, and Inactive Announcements

After the announcement has been made, you will see a new active announcement on the
Active tab. Future date announcements will show under the
Future tab. Announcements that have gone past their end date will show up under the
Inactive tab. If you need to delete an announcement, click on the red
X button next to the announcement.
View Announcement From Staff Or Client Login

Announcements will pop up upon staff or client login. Staff can view previous announcements by going to
Main > Announcements.
Viewing Past Announcements From Staff Login

Staff can view past announcements by going to
Main > Announcements. Click on the announcement title to read the message. Announcements with a ClubReady logo in front of the title were created by the ClubReady team to let you know of important information. Staff can also view announcements in the widget.
