What is a Membership Expiration Date?

Membership expiration dates are driven by a members agreement and determine if a member is "active". A paid in full agreement or an agreement that does not auto-renew will set a members expiration date, and after that date, the member will no longer be considered an active member.

An expiration date on an auto-renewing evergreen agreement may display as an expiration date or end date, however that date will automatically update each time a new invoice is created or payment is made. 


Where Can I Find A Member's Expiration Date?




Membership expiration dates can be found in the client summary page. Go to member lookup and search for a members name. Under their name and age you will see the end date which is the expiration date, but you will have to check the agreement to see if it is in auto renew or not.



Use the Agreements tab to view the agreement description, and if needed, go to Full Details to view if the agreement is in auto-renew. You can also tell from the Invoices Tab. The green leaf indicates that the expiration date will auto advance.



Expiration dates can also be viewed under the All detail page, in the information panel on the left.




They can also be seen at the check-in monitor. Go to Main > Check In Monitor. You'll see here a Paid Thru Date. This is again the expiration date, but the check-in monitor does tell you if the agreement is in evergreen status by the green leaf next to the date.



Frequently Asked Questions

Can I manually change a customer expiration date?
  • Yes. You can edit a customer expiration date from the All Detail page. Status appears in the information panel on the left of the All Detail page. By clicking the edit pencil next to Status, you are able to enter an expiration date. Review our Edit Membership Status article to learn more. 

What happens to an expiration date when a customer is past due?
  • Expiration date for a past due customer will depend on their auto-renewal status.
  • An expiration date remains unchanged for a paid in full agreement or an agreement that has not auto-renewed.
  • An expiration date will not advance until balance is paid on an auto-renewing evergreen agreement.
